Player Line-Up & Special Events for AVP Louisville Open

Announced at Derby Festival Volleyball Classic

Three big nights of fun and entertainment scheduled during tournament week

LOUISVILLE (KY), May 1, 2007 – SFX Worldwide, a Blue Equity company, Reach Event Marketing, The Greater Louisville Sports Commission and the Kentucky Sports Authority announced at a 4:30 p.m. press conference at Baxter Jack’s the players’ field and special events surrounding the inaugural AVP Louisville Open, taking place over Memorial Day weekend at Waterfront Park.

The press conference was held in conjunction with the 18^th annual Pro Beach Volleyball Exhibition Match presented by the AT&T Derby Festival Volleyball Classic, where several pros took to the court against local volleyball stars.

Current AVP Crocs Tour women players Jennifer Snyder and Janelle Ruen spoke along with GLSC Executive Director Diane McGraw and Deputy Secretary Commerce Cabinet Derrick Ramsey.

Fourth Street Live Marketing Manager Troy Thomas announced details for the official 2007 AVP Louisville Open “Bump, Set, Bash!” kick-off party set for Thursday night, May 24, at Fourth Street Live.

Caesars Indiana Vice President of Marketing Operations Marc Oppenheimer discussed plans for the official “After Party” on Saturday night, May 26, hosted by Caesars Indiana at the Club at the Colosseum.

An announcement was made that Friday night, May 25, is “Karch Kiraly Night.” There will be a special ceremony to honor the legendary Kiraly, who announced his retirement following the 2007 season. He is playing in only a select few tournaments this season with Louisville being one of those stops.

Athletes and sports property representatives will be available for interviews afterwards.

Tickets for the 2007 AVP Louisville Open, held over Memorial Day weekend May 24-27, can be purchased through avp.com/louisville, mustseeavp.com and Tickets.com or charged by phone at 1-800-280-2330. Prices are $15 for General Admission tickets, $35 for Courtside Seats with special discounts for students, children and seniors, as well as discounted all-session ticket packages ($65 GA and $150 Courtside Seats). The Thursday qualifying round is free of charge.

Thursday, May 24 - Day Session (Qualifier) – 6 courts in action: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Friday, May 25 - Day Session (Session 1, Main Draw) – 6 courts in action: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Friday, May 25 - Night Session (Session 2, Main Draw) – 1 court in action: 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 26 - Day Session (Session 3, Main Draw) – 5 courts in action: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, May 26 - Night Session (Session 4, Main Draw) – 1 court in action: 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Sunday, Monday 27 - Day Session (Session 5 Main Draw) – 4 courts in action: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (men’s final at approximately 2:30 p.m., women’s final to follow)
