AVP COUARGE CHALLENGE
Benefitting CancerFree KIDS

Professional Beach Volleyball returns to the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio with the AVP Tournament on Labor Day weekend in 2009. This year the tournament also renews its commitment to the community by partnering with local charity CancerFree KIDS to raise awareness and financial support in the fight against childhood cancer.

According to organizer and promoter, Mario Cicchinelli of Reach Event Marketing, “The volleyball community is huge in the Greater Cincinnati Area and it is because of the support of this community, that this tournament is so successful.  One meaningful way the AVP can give back to the city of Mason and Greater Cincinnati is to raise awareness and financial support for the incredible work that CancerFree KIDS is doing to help find a cure for childhood cancer.   During the three day tournament, thousands of volleyball fans will learn more about the urgent need to support life-saving research so no child will have to suffer from cancer.”

Leading up to the September 4-6 AVP, will be ‘The AVP COURAGE CHALLENGE’, sponsored by the AVP and benefitting CancerFree KIDS.  Volleyball Teams from local high schools and clubs are invited to compete for a fantastic AVP Prize Package including free AVP tickets to the finals, private reception, memorabilia, plus the opportunity to play a match at ‘center court’ with the pros in front of thousand fans!  According to CancerFree KIDS development director Rose Eckhoff : “Volleyball teams will be invited to raise money for childhood cancer research by hosting their own event. The team that raises the most money will be the winner of the team challenge!!
