2009 CANCERFREE KIDS COURAGE CHALLENGE sponsored by AVP
Contest Rules and Event Guidelines
1. Advance registration is required. Please submit registration form at least three weeks in advance of a fundraising event. Forms available at: www.cancerfreekids.org. Confirmation will be sent to participating teams within one week of receipt of registration form. High School and high school club teams are eligible.
2. Proceeds from CancerFree KIDS Courage Challenge Fundraisers must be received by CancerFree KIDS by midnight on July 30, 2009 in order to be considered for the contest.
Note: All participating OHSBVA teams must send their event proceeds directly to OHSBVA. One check will be presented to CFK on behalf of the entire organization at the Buckeye Tournament in May, 2009.
3. Official logos of CancerFree KIDS and AVP must appear on all event-related materials, including t-shirts and their use specifically approved by CancerFree KIDS. Logos can be obtained by contacting CFK at rose@cancerfreekids.org or 513-575-5437.
4. Teams will display promotional banners from
AVP and CancerFree KIDS in prominent areas at their respective fundraising events. These will be provided by the AVP and CFK.
5. Teams will distribute flyers promoting AVP tickets and sponsorships to event patrons (flyers provided by AVP).
6. Teams will read announcements provided by AVP
and CFK at least two times during your event.
7. CFK must be notified of any event changes or cancellation.
8. Teams may co-host a fundraiser with another team. In this case, teams will agree in advance how proceeds will be credited to each school for purposes of the contest. Proceeds can be counted collectively and credit given to each school equally (50% to each school) OR teams can agree to track their own respective proceeds. Some suggestions for doing this might be to collect separate admissions, raffles, pledges etc. for each school (use separate donation boxes labeled for each school so people can choose which to place their donation in), making it a mini-competition to see which school can collect the most.
9. It is recommended that participating teams keep event expenses to under 25% of total gross receipts. (Sponsorships can significantly reduce overhead.)
10. Winning team must be available to attend the AVP Pro Volleyball Tournament on Sunday, September 6th. |
