Dear (School or Club Volleyball Coach):

Would your volleyball team like to win free tickets to the AVP finals and also be given a once-in-a-lifetime chance to play a match against the Pros at the 2009 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Open Championship?  That’s right – your team could play at center court with the best players in the world, including Olympic gold medalists.  Here’s how. . .!

The AVP has teamed up with CancerFree KIDS (a local charity committed to eradicating cancer in children) to host the ‘AVP COURAGE Challenge’ – a great way for area volleyball teams to “team up to fight childhood cancer”.  Beginning immediately, and leading up to the AVP tournament over Labor Day weekend, area high school and club volleyball teams are invited to participate by hosting a fundraising event for CancerFree KIDS. All proceeds from these events will go directly to life-saving research on childhood cancers!    The team that raises the most money will be the winner of the amazing AVP Prize Package!  It’s as simple as that!

Although we are encouraging volleyball event fundraisers, any type of event is fine.  If your team needs help coming up with ideas, or if you need assistance in running a successful fundraiser, we would be glad to help get you started! Teams may also consider hosting more than one fundraising event - there is no limit!  All funds must be submitted to the CancerFree KIDS office by July 1, 2009.

If your team is interested in participating or learning more about this incredible opportunity, I encourage you to visit our website at www.cancerfreekids.org and click on AVP Courage Challenge or visit www.mustseeavp.  Registration applications, fundraising ideas and contest rules are included.

We also encourage you to contact us directly with any questions, or if you want someone from CancerFree KIDS to meet with you or your team personally to discuss the AVP Courage Challenge. We can be reached at 513-575-5437 or rose@cancerfreekids.org.

Be part of something wonderful – giving hope to kids and teens with cancer! Sign up today!  It will be fun and very rewarding!
Sincerely yours,
