2006 AVP Crocs
Cup Cincinnati Open Announces Music Entertainment Lineup
Ten Foot Big and Kate Voegele
to perform on Saturday night
CINCINNATI (OH) Two music acts have joined the
lineup at the 2006 AVP Crocs Cup Cincinnati Open with separate
performances scheduled.
The band Ten Foot Big and singer/songwriter Kate
Voegele have been selected to perform before, during match breaks and
after the matches on Saturday night, Sept. 1.
Voegele, 19, is a freshman at Miami University where she is focusing on
Art and her music career. Her song “Only Fooling Myself” recently won
the Pop category of the 2005 USA Songwriting Contest, the youngest
artist ever to win. The Bay Village, Ohio, native has performed at
several high profile events including two Farm Aids featuring Dave
Matthews, Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp, a showcase at
the Midwest Music Summit in Indianapolis and a performance at the NBA
Rhythm and Rims event in Chicago.
Ten Foot Big, one of the hottest and most popular
local bands in the area, has a play list that includes a mix of cover
songs as well as original songs. The quartet of
Todd Fowler (Lead Vocal & Acoustic Guitar),
John Benham (Vocal & percussion / Drums), Mike Theobald (Bass) and Jimmy
Nulsen (Piano & Organ) have been compared in sound to other acts
including Guster, Jackopierce, Dispatch, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Phish
and Dave Matthews.
The AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour returns to
Greater Cincinnati over Labor Day weekend Aug. 31-Sept. 3 for the
prestigious season-ending finale of the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball
Championship Series at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

Saturday Sept. 2 - Session 3 - 9:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. (Men and Women
playing, but Men's Final live on NBC from 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
Saturday Sept. 2 - Session 4 - 7:30 p.m. -10 p.m. (Women only playing)
Sunday Sept. 3 - Session 5 - 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Women only playing with
Women's Final on NBC live from 1:30-3pm)
